The basic role and classification of self-aligning ball bearings
- Sep 18, 2018 -

Basic role

It is mainly used to bear the radial load. While receiving the radial load, it can also bear a small amount of axial load, but generally can not withstand the pure axial load, and its limit speed is lower than that of the deep groove ball bearing. This kind of bearing is mostly used on the double support shaft which is easy to bend under the load, and the part with the double bearing hole can not guarantee the strict coaxiality, but the relative inclination of the center line of the inner ring and the center line of the outer ring must not exceed 3 degree.

Self-aligning ball bearings are suitable for heavy loads and impact loads, precision instruments, low noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles, metallurgy, rolling mills, mining, petroleum, paper, cement, sugar and other industries and general machinery.

Basic classification

The self-aligning ball bearing has two rows of steel balls, the inner ring has two raceways, and the outer ring raceway has an inner spherical shape, which has self-aligning performance. The coaxiality error due to the deflection of the shaft and the deformation of the casing can be automatically compensated, and is suitable for the portion where the support seat hole cannot ensure strict coaxiality. This kind of bearing is mainly subjected to radial load. It can withstand a small amount of axial load while receiving radial load. It is usually not used to withstand pure axial load. For example, it can withstand a pure load and only one row of steel balls is stressed.

Specific classification and model comparison:

1. Cylindrical hole self-aligning ball bearing (10000 type);

2, tapered hole self-aligning ball bearings (10000 K type);

3. Self-aligning ball bearing with adapter sleeve (10000 K+H10000 type)
