The outer spherical bearing is actually a variant of the deep groove ball bearing. Its characteristic is that the outer diameter of the outer ring surface is spherical, which can be fitted into the corresponding concave spherical surface of the bearing seat to play the role of centering. Outer spherical bearings are preferred for applications where equipment and components are required to be simple, such as for agricultural machinery, transportation systems or construction machinery.
Although its basic performance should be similar to that of deep groove ball bearings, most of these bearings are used in relatively rough machines, the mounting position is not accurate enough, the axis of the shaft and the seat hole is poorly centered, or the shaft length is deflected. In the case of a large class, and the accuracy of the bearing itself is not high enough, and some structures are also rough, so the actual performance of the performance is comparable to the deep groove ball bearing of the same specification. For example, an outer spherical ball bearing with a top wire is applied to a through shaft with a large difference in deflection. The bearing has a sealing ring on both sides to prevent intrusion of dirt, and is loaded at the factory.
Appropriate amount of lubricant, no need to clean before installation, no need to add lubricant, the top wire screw on the protruding end of the inner ring of the bearing is fastened on the shaft. The permissible axial load must not exceed 20% of the rated dynamic load.
The outer spherical ball bearing with the eccentric sleeve has the same performance as the outer spherical bearing with the top wire, except that the top wire is not on the inner ring but on the eccentric sleeve. The inner hole of the tapered spherical outer spherical ball bearing is a tapered hole with a 1:12 taper. It can be mounted directly on the tapered shaft or mounted on the shaft without the shoulder by means of a tight bushing, and the bearing clearance can be fine-tuned.

It is mainly used to bear radial and axial combined loads mainly based on radial load. Generally, it is not suitable to bear axial load alone. Such bearings can be installed with inner ring (with full set of rollers and retainers) and outer ring. This type of bearing does not allow the shaft to be tilted relative to the housing, creating additional axial forces under radial load. The axial clearance of the bearing has a great relationship with the normal operation of the bearing. When the axial clearance is too small, the temperature rise is high; when the axial clearance is large, the bearing is easily damaged. Therefore, special attention should be paid to adjusting the axial clearance of the bearing during installation and operation. If necessary, pre-interference can be installed to increase the rigidity of the bearing.
